National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization
The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) is the largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States. The organization is committed to improving end of life care and expanding access to hospice care with the goal of profoundly enhancing quality of life for people dying in America and their loved ones.
Considered to be the model for quality, compassionate care at the end of life, hospice care involves a team-oriented approach of expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support expressly tailored to the patient’s wishes. Emotional and spiritual support also is extended to the family and loved ones. Generally, this care is provided in the patient’s home or in a home-like setting operated by a hospice program. Medicare, private health insurance, and Medicaid in most states cover hospice care for patients who meet certain criteria.

Caring Connections
Caring Connections, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), is a national consumer and community engagement initiative to improve care at the end of life, supported by a grant from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, as a designated Aging and Disability Resource Center, plans, coordinates and offers services through state and federal resources that help older adults remain in their own homes.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is committed to providing information, support and guidance to people living with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes or myeloproliferative disorders. LLS also provides information to healthcare professionals.

Our professional staff is dedicated to helping people navigate through the difficult decisions and uncertainties people with Alzheimer’s and their families face at every stage of the disease.
Alzheimer’s Family Organization
The Alzheimer’s Family Organization (AFO) is a voluntary health organization dedicated to providing support services, educational programs, and assistance to those people afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease and their families.
AFO’s office is located in Pasco County and we service the counties of Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Sumter, Lake, N. Hillsborough, & N. Pinellas.
American Cancer Society
Together with our millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society (ACS) saves lives and creates a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.
The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACS has 13 chartered Divisions and more than 3,400 local offices.
CARES promotes quality of life and independence for adults and seniors through health, social, and supportive services. We work with health professionals, families, volunteers, donors and businesses who want elders to age positively and with dignity.
United Way of Pasco County bring together people from all across the community – people from government, business, faith groups, non-profits, labor and ordinary citizens – to tackle the issues that matter most in our community.
